Tanzania hit by Four Tremors within five Months

Singida the town which suffers frequent earthquakes in Tanzania

Four earthquakes have so far been reported in various parts of Tanzania in the period between January and May 2022.

Though the tremors that struck this year have caused little, if any, damage, the country is still remembering the disasters that occured in the Lake Zone’s Kagera region about six years ago, resulting in destruction of property and infrastructure.

Minor and major earthquakes are common in East and Central African region, but Tanzania seems to be the only East African country to experience earthquakes this year.

More on the recent tremors can be accessed from this article by the Tanzania Times.
